Biography:

Mr. Lutz’s practice focuses on representing individuals and businesses in contract-based disputes.  He is admitted in all Georgia State and Superior Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Lutz represents real estate developers, owners, contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in contract negotiation, drafting, and myriad construction disputes, including bid protests, mechanics’ and materialmen’s liens, performance and payment bonds, design defects, workforce supplementation, delay and scheduling claims, project settlement cram downs, real property tax assessments, design infringement, project change orders, and extra-contractual performance.

Mr. Lutz also represents small and large corporations involved in commercial and business disputes and has taken a lead role in litigation involving breach of contract, unfair business and/or trade practices, defamation, fraudulent transfers or conveyances, covenants not to compete or solicit, breach of fiduciary duty, partnership dissolution, and tortious interference with business and/or contractual relations.

Outside the Law, Mr. Lutz is a 12-year veteran of both the U.S. Army and Georgia Army National Guard.  While on active duty, he served as a team leader and Non-Commissioned Officer with the 1st battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment where he was deployed throughout the United States, Central and South Americas, and Europe.  Among his many awards, Mr. Lutz received the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (Fourth), Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, and the coveted Ranger Tab.

Mr. Lutz resides in Dunwoody with his wife, Amber, and two sons, Cooper and Carson.  He enjoys tennis, golf, hunting, hiking and all things outdoors.
