Biography:

Mr. Quantz brings to FSB a unique combination of legal experience representing small, medium, and publicly traded companies in the areas of corporate and technology law and practical experience as an owner and operator of small businesses.

Mr. Quantz's practice focuses on:  (1) the negotiation and preparation of technology development and licensing arrangements, software implementation agreements, master service agreements, and online business agreements, (2) the creation of business entities (corporations and LLCs), negotiation and preparation of related shareholder and buy/sell agreements, and counsel regarding the attendant business governance issues, and (3) the negotiation and preparation of private equity transactions and private company mergers and acquisitions and/or asset transfer transactions.    

Through his close interaction with the owners and executive officers of his business clients and his experience as an owner and operator of small businesses, Mr. Quantz has an acute understanding of the numerous business and legal issues facing businesses and their owners.

Mr. Quantz has been practicing law in Atlanta since 1991 and initially focused his practice on environmental law in the areas of complex toxic tort and CERCLA litigation and Clean Water Act litigation and compliance. 

Mr. Quartz served as lead litigation counsel in the following reported decisions:  Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper v. The City of Atlanta, 953 F. Supp. 1541 (N.D. Ga. 1996) and 986 F. Supp. 1406 (N.D. Ga. 1997) and Chem-Nuclear Systems, Inc. v. Arivec Chem., Inc., 978 F. Supp. 1105 (N.D. Ga. 1997); and served as assistant litigation counsel in:  Thompson v. Taracorp, Inc., 684 So.2d 152 (Ala App. 1996) and PRI v. Amoco, Inc., 856 F. Supp. 761 (N.D. Ga. 1993).

Mr. Quantz is admitted to practice in Georgia and before all Georgia courts and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the Middle District of Georgia.
