Ms. Stommes specializes in business immigration law.  She has over 18 years of experience advising and assisting start-ups through Fortune 1000 companies with their recruiting, hiring and retention of foreign nationals on a temporary and permanent basis in the U.S. (i.e., B-1/B-2, E-1/E-2, E-3, F-1/F-2, H-1B/H-4, H-1B1, H-3, J-1/J-2, L-1/L-2, Os, Ps, TN/TD, PERM Labor Certification, EB1, EB2, EB3, Adjustment of Status, Consular Processing, Diversity Visa, and Naturalization).  She has prepared numerous work permits/visas for foreign national employees in the following industries:  IT, Consulting, Engineering, Oil & Gas, Recruiting, Retail, Financial Services, Marketing, Research, Medical, Hospitality, Restaurants, Automotive, Manufacturing, Communications, and Advertising.

Ms. Stommes is highly experienced with counseling clients on start-up issues and short-term and long-term immigration strategies, I-9 compliance, and Social Security mismatch letters.  In addition, she has assisted companies with the transfer of their U.S. citizen employees abroad.

Moreover, Ms. Stommes has advised and assisted individuals with their employment and personal immigration filings and strategy, including work permits and visas, and marriage visa applications, Green Card applications and U.S. Naturalization applications.  Finally, she has assisted U.S. citizens with their Irish citizenship applications.

Ms. Stommes is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association ("AILA"), Texas AILA Chapter, Northern California AILA Chapter, Iowa/Nebraska AILA Chapter, and the State Bar of Texas.
